Ah, the homosexual agenda!

I've been spending a lot of time over at GayChristian.net, and haven't been posting as much as I should be over here. It's been very, very cool for me to spend time with other people who are struggling with the same topics as I am - and it's been cool to be able to point them to some of these posts here, and show how I've wrestled with things.

Today we look at some great information on the oft-claimed "Homosexual Agenda" or "Gay Agenda."

First, take a look at this great summary of the "gay agenda." Make sure you cursor down to read all the bad puns that go with it...

Then go over here and read straight-but-friendly author Mark Morford's summary of our so-called agenda. It's pretty funny, and str8 (forgive the pun) to the point.

But for pure classic delivery, this animated cartoon is great. It's nearly 2 years old, but it's definitely worth the 2 minutes or so to watch it. (Warning - there is sound to this, so you might want to turn it down or put the headphones on if you're at work...)

I happen to be straight (but my Dad isn't) and I think that recognition of gay civil rights and acceptance as spiritual equals within faith traditions is one of the great imperatives in the U.S. (and world)today.   2. You fools are so deluded. Gays might be human but you can't be Christian. Why do you have to impose your world on the larger world? Why distort the truth of an ancient religion and attempt to appropriate it as your own? If homosexuality had any merit on it's own, it wouldn't have to impose itself on the world. If you actually had an pride you would be humiliated to beg and coerce your way into some sort of bogus legitimacy.

    I could care less how gays live but when gay politics propagates Orwellian speech laws and attempts to indoctrinate through the educational system, I can only view you as enemies and do all that is legally possible to see you totally and thoroughly disenfranchised and politically crushed.

    Create your own religion, develop your own marriage rituals, develop and support your own schools. Offer proof that you are in any way a culture worthy of repsect. The fact that you have to force your very real agenda down the throats of those who want no part of it just demonstrates the illegitimacy of your positions. Tolerance does not equal acceptance and the unacceptable will ultimately be regurgitated, as will your, ultimately, futile attempt to normalize the aberrant behavior you prefer to indulge in.

    The inevitable backlash against homosexuality is going to be momentous, so enjoy your few moments in "the sun". No matter what ridiculous rationalizations you invent, no matter what draconian hate speech laws you attempt to impose,you will never, ever be accepted and at this stage, tolerance is a gift you don't deserve.

    Your narcissistic self-absorption while this country is at war and while those who loathe America use your political strength to fuel this country's destruction will be remembered.

    Fortunately, Zee, you don't get a vote on whether I can be Christian. Christ does, and he took the Samaritan woman at the well, and the woman caught in adultery, and he took back Peter after he denied Christ three times. From what I read, the Bible says he'll take me as a celibate gay man, too.

    Tolerance - even of people we can't stand - is one of the cornerstones that this country was built on. Sorry, but those democratic principles are what we're supposedly at war to protect. If we aren't, then it's true that the war was all about oil all along anyway, and God will have justifiably forsaken the country anyway.

    Just so you know - I'll listen to anti-gay rants once. You've had your one shot. Further comments will be deleted.

  4. Delete all you wish - but typical of your type, you didn't address my questions. Tolerance is fine, legislation that imposes your twisted moral view on the rest of the populace is not. And I imagine your Jesus expected those he forgave to shape up -my guess Mary stopped whoring around. Be you celibate or not, your advocacy is destructive and your twisting scripture to suit yourself is disingenuous and cowardly.

    Those who protect this democracy are fighting a twisted theology that fully intends to destroy all homosexuals. Google about to see how islam treats gays. Yet the efforts by your political cronies is expended undermining this country. You can't suck the soul out of America and then expect her embrace and protection. But your self-imposed idiocy doesn't tolerate the facts of life very well.

  5. Zee, look carefully at your first comment. You only asked one question: Why do you have to impose your world on the larger world?

    The problem is, you don't want an answer. You've already made up your mind. That's why I didn't bother replying. But here you are again, so here it is:

    I - Steve F. - am not imposing anything on anyone. All I want is to be left alone. That's what all those links up above say. Leave me alone. Let me burn in hell, if that's what you think. I don't want or desire you, your kids, your marriage, or anything else. I am not involved in any "gay agenda" - no matter what you think. There are no Orwellian speech laws being pushed by gays. There is only the Bill of Rights - freedom of speech. I can say what I want, even if you hate it. Sorry. That's democracy. Deal with it.

    There is this group of people who think because gay people want to be left alone to destroy their lives, it somehow tears at the fabric of civilization. Do you really think I'm gonna convince them - or you - otherwise?

    Of course not. You know. You're right. And nothing's gonna change that. So why argue?

    Just FYI - the rest of your post didn't ASK anything. It just told me the stupid raw sewage that you think about me. "I've made up my mind - don't confuse me with the facts."

    Just FYI - if you'd read "the truth of an ancient religion," you'd find several things:

    Leviticus 18:22 - "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

    OK, so why are you commenting here? I've been celibate for 13 years! I'm not "lying" with anyone! I'm not doing the very thing that it's talking about!

    OK, so I just want to make sure that you're posting this same kind of abuse on all the folks who are promoting sex outside of marriage (fornicators, adulterers - the ones who are FIRST on the list) on VH1, MTV, and anyone who's watching Sex in the City and Desperate Housewives.

    Because they're the ones who are tearing down the institution of marriage! Marriage is not being destroyed by a tiny group of faggots wanting to live together in peace before they go to hell! It's being destroyed by the 50% of straight people who can't stay married to each other! (A good portion of whom are Christians!) Save us - and the country - from them, please!

    And the idolators - those people who put anything ahead of God for worship - don't forget them. Like the millions of people who watch football games instead of going to church (and yes, this fag goes to church, most every Sunday). Or the people who care more about Anna Nicole Smith instead of reading the Bible. Make sure you're posting on all their blogs, too. After all, idolatry is what God smote the Israelites for, time and time again - and long after Sodom and Gomorrah.

    I'm sorry - but if us fags really are less than 5% of the population, we simply can't be responsible for all the wrongs of the world, and all the moral decay of the nation. I'm not sucking anything - period - but I'm definitely not sucking the soul out of America.

    The problem is simply that people in America need someone to hate. Hitler needed people to hate Jews and gays, so he could create a pure nation. People like you seem to need people to hate gays - for the same damn reason: to draw attention away from what's really going on in the world.

    You would like to see me dead - and you don't even know me. You don't know what service I've done to the community, you don't know the work I've done helping alcoholics and drug addicts recover and become useful citizens. But you don't care about that at all. You need someone to hate - and us fags fit the bill.

    The reason that I didn't address all your statements - after all, there was only one question - is because that almost everyone I have met who feels the way you do don't want any answers from me anyway. All they ever want is someone to yell at, someone to hate. I'm pretty sure that you'll continue to hate me, long after this discussion is done - because you've already decided that whatever I say is "self-imposed idiocy."

    So be it.

    You will really start to change the world when you start dealing with the folks who are really screwing our country. But trust me - it ain't us. There just aren't enough of us, and we aren't that powerful. You can try to make us into some kind of evil invisible gay empire - but it's not happening. It's not real, no matter how much you want it to be.

    Most gays and lesbians are walking around in fear, waiting for one of you to club us to death, shoot us, or beat us and tie us to a fence-post, left for dead.

    "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:36-40)

    "Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. 1 John 3:13-15

    See if you can listen to that "eternal wisdom." As for me, I'm done.
